What is the Nurturing Care Center?

Goshens currently rents a facility that is limited in space, functionality, and potential for expansion. The goal for Goshens is to purchase land where they can then build the Nurturing Care Center, which will be a permanent home for Goshens to function and be a base for many of their community engagements with numerous options for expansion.

What is the purpose of the Nurturing Care Center?

The purpose of the Nurturing Care Center is to be a place of education for the community on the topics of nutrition, health, and economic empowerment. It will also be a place of medical care for the community where malnutrition, poor health, and other associated medical concerns are prevalent.

What will be in the Nurturing Care Center?

Within the Nurturing Care Center will be…

• Medical and Nutrition Clinic

• Community Garden

• Housing for volunteers, interns, and other partners

• Commercial kitchen for education and production of Goshen’s Nutrich Porridge
  

What are the plans for expansion of the Nurturing Care Center?

Goshen’s desire for expansion of the Nurturing Care Center is to see it also have a worship center for the spreading of the Gospel, as well as a home for orphans and children who have been abandoned within the community. There will also be a recreational center for the community as an additional means of promoting nutrition, health, and spreading the Gospel.

How can you get involved?

The Nurturing Care Center is a large undertaking for Goshens and the current fundraising goal is $200,000, which will comprise the purchasing of land, building the facility, equipment for commercial kitchen production, and medical supplies for the clinic. We believe in the power of prayer and we are asking for prayer partners to join us in praying for God’s provision and for additional partners to come along side Goshens in this initiative.
