Goshens is passionate about promoting climate smart initiatives within their community. Promoting organic farming as a way minimizing the chemicals that go into their product. Another way in which Goshens does this is by using old sacks, bags, plastic water bottles, even an old refrigerator to make urban gardens. This allows the community to decrease their waste and also start gardens even if they do not have land. Another climate smart initiative is making brickettes which are used as a more efficient fuel option for cooking instead of coal or petroleum. The skills of making brickettes can also be a source of income for socioeconomic development.
