Goshens strives to provide individuals with the ability to sustain their own health and well being through economic empowerment. These efforts in the community include gardening techniques, baking workshops, sewing workshops, and teaching people how to make briquettes (a climate smart source of fuel in Uganda). All of these things in Uganda are ways for people to develop a source of income. Another way that Goshens has provided economic empowerment has been providing people with guidance on business skills. Goshens prioritizes teaching practical ways that people can begin to generate revenue to that they may grow and provide for their own needs and the needs of their family.
